Ariel Tarifeño was born in Santiago, Chile in 1982. He received the B.S degree in Physics in 2004 from the Universidad de Chile. In 2005, he started the Ph.D. Program in Physics at the Universidad de Concepción, Chile. Now, he is close to defend his thesis in experimental plasma physics developed at the plasma laboratory of the Comisión Chilena de Energía Nuclear (CCHEN). His main research interests are in dense transient plasmas including Plasma focus and Z-pinch, diagnostics tools for pulsed radiation and neutrons, pulsed power and applications.
